Bistro Bar Design
In late 2022 we were asked by Terri and Robin Hunter to design a bar layout for their newest hospitality venture, Bistrot Max based in Tutbury Staffordshire. Being huge fans of their previous business, the award winning Saracen's Head in Shirley Ashbourne we were absolutely delighted to get involved.

Project Overview
With a two part brief to create a stylish and welcoming first impression for customers the other equally important part of the design was to ensure we created a bar which worked and flowed for staff to work behind: storage for the glasses, drinks, coffee machine, glass wash, sink and till system alongside worktop space to create cocktails and hot drinks for a very busy bistro. We opted for classic tongue and grove panelling painted in a rich plum colour ('Cordoba' by Little Greene) which is complimented with a stylish quartz bar top to create a bright and easy to clean counter with plenty of shelving and storage behind the bar to ensure everything has a place and the day to day bar essentials are hidden from customer view.

Project Statement
This was a great project and something a little different from my usual kitchen designs. There was a lot to fit in a relatively small area and I needed to strike a balance between making sure the style and design looked good from the point of view of a customer visiting the bistro whilst ensuring that it was a well planned, usable design behind the bar to allow staff to work quickly and efficiently. I think we achieved that and we love visiting this fantastic bistro on a regular basis.

Testimonial
“I can’t praise the work from Worthington’s enough. From start to finish, every design detail that we probably wouldn’t have thought about was highlighted by Emily to make to best use of our space. The work was carried out to a superb level of finish by the whole team.
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Worthington’s to anyone looking for the best attention to detail for their project”
