Farmhouse Shaker Kitchen
A traditional Shaker kitchen with a modern twist at a beautiful stone farmhouse in rural Staffordshire: a remodel of the majority of the ground floor, turning three rooms into one light, bright open plan kitchen, dining and living space for the new owners.

Project Overview
This stone farmhouse ground floor renovation began as a kitchen enquiry and soon became a much larger project: three disjointed rooms which did not flow were the starting point for our designs. We removed two internal walls to create a new larger 'L' shaped open plan kitchen, living and dining space for the new family at this lovely property. The new kitchen layout, designed in house, features our solid timber Shaker door painted in two stylish colours: light grey for the main kitchen and classic white for the island unit. Lots of design detail including tongue and groove panels and chunky corner posts on the island along with a bespoke Oak mantle piece above the pale blue range cooker. Solid Oak flooring was laid throughout the space along with tiling to the cooker splashback and chimney alcove in the living room area. Brass finishing touches and hardware throughout: including handles, sockets, switches and a beautiful Perrin & Rowe mixer tap give a timeless finish.

Project Statement
This was such a lovely project to work on: we came up with a number of layouts but felt removing two rather than one wall would really make the most use of the space and create an area that really flowed. We were given a deadline of finishing the project before a new baby arrived...I'm pleased to say we hit the target and the project was completed in time for the new family of three to enjoy!

Testimonial
“We are delighted with our kitchen remodel and building work, taking three rooms into one open plan living area, all completed in just two months. The building work was very well organised to keep to time scale and the attention to detail was exceptional. We enjoyed having the freedom to have our own input into design elements allowing us to make the kitchen truly personal to us.”
